What is Hunting Portrait Photography?
Hunting is more than a pastime. For those who hunt, it's part of their lifestyle and an important American and family tradition.
Over the centuries, our hunting stories have been scribbled into rocks, painted on walls, shared around a campfire with family and friends, photographed and written down in journals. We are visual creatures; we like to see the world in pictures. Pictures stick with us longer than words, and we’re more likely to remember a photo than a paragraph. Today, photographs and the digital age make sharing your story easy.

Let's connect and schedule a time for your next hunt. We can talk about what you'd like to capture. Do you have a favorite hunting dog you want captured in a portrait? Want a heroic pose of you shooting quail? Let's make that happen!

Day of the hunt
Once scheduled, I meet you at your hunting location. I wear appropriate camouflage and safety gear. I want to take part in your adventure to share your adventure, but I will do my best to stay out of the way. I am mostly an observer.

The whole story
The hunt is just one part of an adventure. Cleaning shotguns, relaxing around the campfire or hunting lodge, playing with hunting dogs...these moments add to the larger story that you'll want to share.

Lifetime of memories
Within a week, you will have the edited photographs on a flash drive to share. Want a printed portrait? I can help guide you and make the best print possible.
